At LUUM Leather, we believe that craftsmanship tells a story — of heritage, skill, and intention. Founded in 2020 in León, Guanajuato, Mexico’s leather capital, LUUM was born out of a desire to preserve the art of traditional leatherworking while meeting the growing demand for premium leather goods in the corporate gifting and events space.
History and Tradition
Our journey began
in the historic San Marcos district, where two master artisans — Federico, a seasoned stitcher, and Alejandro, an expert assembler — came together to create finely crafted pieces using techniques passed down through generations. From golf head covers and backpacks to briefcases, wallets, and travel accessories, every LUUM product is designed with purpose, handcrafted with precision, and made to leave a lasting impression.
Preserving a Dying Craft
For generations, the city of León has been home to some of the world’s finest leather artisans. But as mass production and automotive factories have taken over, fewer young people are choosing to pursue this noble trade. LUUM Leather is on a mission to change that. We proudly partner with skilled local craftsmen — many of whom inherited their craft through family tradition — to ensure the survival and evolution of leather artistry in our region.
